News and Updates
We are pleased to invite you to contribute to a Special Issue of ACS Applied Polymer Materials, titled Polyelectrolytes: Bridging Electrostatics, Interfaces, and Materials Science, in association with the 14th International Symposium on Polyelectrolytes (ISP 2025), which will take place in Campinas, Brazil, from July 13 to 18, 2025 (www.isp25.com).
Celebrating 30 years of tradition, the ISP is a well-established forum fostering interdisciplinary collaboration among scientists working on charged macromolecules of both synthetic and biological origin. Polyelectrolyte science bridges Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Materials Science, attracting contributions from academia and industry alike.
This Special Issue aims to reflect the diverse and dynamic nature of the field by featuring novel, high-quality research at the forefront of polyelectrolyte science and technology. We welcome original research articles, reviews, and perspectives on topics including, but not limited to:
- Polyelectrolyte modeling and theory
- Biologically relevant polyelectrolytes
- Natural and synthetic polyelectrolytes in solution and at interfaces
- Polyelectrolyte assemblies (colloids, networks, gels)
- Applications of polyelectrolytes
ACS Applied Polymer Materials is devoted to reports of new and original experimental and theoretical research of an applied nature that integrates fundamental knowledge in the areas of materials, engineering, physics, bioscience, polymer science and chemistry into important polymer applications. The journal is specifically interested in work that addresses relationships among structure, processing, morphology, chemistry, properties, and function as well as work that provide insights into mechanisms critical to the performance of the polymer for applications.
Deadline for submission: November 30th
Website: Paragon Plus. The authors must choose ACS Applied Polymer Materials and submit their manuscript, picking the option with the name of the special issue.
Although this Special Issue is linked to the ISP 2025, submissions are welcome from all researchers, regardless of participation in the event.
We look forward to welcoming your contribution.
